Overview
This Mexican company specializes in the production and transportation of salt for six major market segments: Agriculture, Food, Water Conditioning, Industrial, Chemical and Packaged Ice Control. The company produces more than 1,000 different salt products/packaging sizes and markets national and regional brands. True uses three primary production methods including mechanical evaporation equipment, solar evaporation and rock salt mining from ponds as well as underground mines.
Problem
This company had been looking for a product to use on sidewalks and decks in its facilities. This product required a higher overall life cycle cost and the ability to withstand the highly corrosive environment within the plant.
Solution
The company contacted our Foreign Trade Manager and chose Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) products from Tianfu New Material.
Over the course of several years, this company has been replacing steel in its plants with FRP systems. Metal grating walkways in the dryer building, elevator structure and caustic storage area were all upgraded with molded grating from Tianfu New Material. In addition, molded grating was installed on the loading dock. FRP handrails and FRP structural support elements were also designed for installation in the lye handling plant. Non-slip FRP stair panels replaced the metal stairs in the loading bay.
The company will continue to use Tianfu Xincai products and replace them in other areas of the plant as needed. Based on the quality of Tianfu Xincai's FRP products, this company can solve the problem of corrosion of plant sidewalks and stairs from brine products without worry.
