Overview
The project is located in Yunnan Province, which is an enterprise mainly engaged in the manufacturing of wine, beverage and refined tea.
In December 2022, due to a previous successful project with Tianfu New Material, the company in charge of this project contacted us and invited us to participate in this project, which includes filling equipment and conveying lines along the factory. These will be used for daily production as well as equipment maintenance, and need to meet the requirements of corrosion resistance, anti-slip, high durability, light weight, environmental protection, insulation, and high load bearing capacity.
Problem
There were two main requirements for the materials to be used in this project, one being the safety of personnel and the other being cost-effectiveness.
We have organized the client's requirements as follows:
-- Non-conductive and non-thermal conductive:
In order to ensure the safety of maintenance personnel when servicing the plant, the material must be non-conductive and have low thermal conductivity.
-- Corrosion resistance: Considering that the chemicals that may be used to corrode the walkway panels when the plant is servicing equipment not only affect the load bearing, but also pose a risk to personnel safety, the material must be able to withstand the corrosion of the walkway panels from the chemicals.
- Light weight: Easy to install is the key, no need for large equipment, greatly reducing the construction time.
-- Non-slip: There are frequent washdowns in factories, which cause floors to become wet, creating a slip-and-fall hazard for workers. Therefore there was a need to provide a safe, non-slip surface for those using the floor.
- Low maintenance and long service life: The customer specifically requested a product that would not cause inconvenience during use.
Solution
Fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) molded grating products are ideal for this type of application. For this project, we used a standard square mesh molded grating to line the walkways along the filling equipment and conveyor lines. Molded steel grating was chosen for its unmatched combination of corrosion resistance, strength, long service life and safety.
Tianfu profiles use brand name resins to manufacture the molded grating. Brand name polyester resins are superior in performance quality to many comparable fiberglass and metal products and meet the corrosion resistance requirements of the industrial, chemical, metallurgical, food, pharmaceutical, food packaging, food processing and other industries.
