• Glass Fiber Stitched Mat (Stitched Fiber Mat / Stitched Glass Fiber Mat)

Glass Fiber Stitched Mat (Stitched Fiber Mat / Stitched Glass Fiber Mat)

Glass Fiber Stitched Mat is a nonwoven reinforcement material made from E-glass ou alkali-resistant (AR-glass) fibers, which are stitched together using high-strength polyester yarn (or other yarns for specific applications). Unlike traditional chopped strand mats (CSM), which are bound together with chemical binders, stitched mats rely on mechanical stitching to hold the fibers in place, providing superior structural integrity, dimensional stability, and increased resistance to deformation during processing.

Présentation des performances du produit

This mat is binder-free, allowing for more efficient resin absorption, and faster and more uniform wet-out during molding processes. The use of stitching yarn also provides a more stable et durable structure compared to other glass fiber mats. The nonwoven structure ensures excellent conformance to molds, even those with complex geometries, making it suitable for a variety of molding techniques such as hand lay-up, vacuum infusion, RTM, et spray-up.

Glass Fiber Stitched Mat is used in many composite applications, including those in the automobile, marine, construction, wind energy, et industrial sectors, where high-strength et poids léger materials are required for high-performance parts.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Binder-Free Construction

The absence of binders ensures excellent resin compatibility, allowing for rapid resin absorption and minimal interference with the resin matrix, resulting in uniform composite properties.

  • Superior Dimensional Stability

The mechanical stitching used to hold the fibers together provides greater dimensional stability during both the molding and curing processes, helping to maintain part integrity throughout production.

  • Haute résistance à la traction

Glass Fiber Stitched Mat offers excellent résistance à la traction, which improves the final composite's ability to withstand mechanical stresses, including bending, stretching, and compression.

  • Reduced Air Entrapment

The open structure created by the stitching allows for faster resin wet-out and helps minimize air pockets, ensuring a high-quality finish et uniform laminate structure.

  • Customization for Specific Applications

The weight, fiber length, and stitching configuration of the mat can be customized to meet the specific requirements of different applications, ensuring optimal performance for each product.

  • Excellent Conformability

The mat is highly flexible and can easily conform to complex mold geometries, ensuring efficient part production even in intricate mold designs.

  • Faster Curing Times

The high resin uptake and low binder content result in reduced curing times, which speeds up the production process and enhances manufacturing efficiency.
